Sports Power Infrastructure Arkansas Launches in the City of Wrightsville to Power Student-Athletes Building Workforce and Supplier Careers

WRIGHTSVILLE, Ark. Sports Power Infrastructure Arkansas, in partnership with the City of Wrightsville, Tough Choices Foundation, and The SPIN Foundation, announced a 12-session program that gives student-athletes in grades 6 to 12 a path from the courts and fields to infrastructure careers, using predictive data analytics for sports and career performance. Part of Athletes Make The Best Top 100 Arkansas, the program begins December 3, 2026 at the Sen. Bill Walker Jr. City of Wrightsville Gymnasium, 13022 Highway 365 South.

In 2025, the Arkansas Economic Development Commission announced 32 projects expected to create 3,953 jobs and bring more than $6.7 billion in investment. The program readies and aligns athletes as the workforce and suppliers behind this growth to advance U.S. domestic and local content, Hire American, Buy American, and Invest American.

"Athletes make the best welders, project managers, HVAC technicians, cybersecurity analysts, and entrepreneurs. Our job is to help them discover and prepare for those careers. We are excited to bring our technology and applaud the City of Wrightsville and Tough Choices Foundation for giving these student-athletes real opportunity," said Tenicka Chaney, Partner at Sports Power Infrastructure.

Student-athletes get rated and ranked by measuring their speed, strength, and agility to qualify for Athletes Make The Best Top 100 Arkansas in June, then apply those skills in sports like basketball and flag football. Powered by Sports Power Infrastructure readiness assessments, they discover legacy and emerging industries that align with their talents, including energy, healthcare, telecommunications, AI and technology, maritime and ports, critical minerals, manufacturing, and TV and film production.

Students also conduct a sports and entertainment community needs assessment and compete in the Sports Power Infrastructure Supply Challenge, supplying local and regional infrastructure projects with traffic control and road safety products, construction safety gear, and winter supplies.

The program closes with a student-hosted, two-day Combine and Workforce + Supplier Marketplace on January 27 and 28, 2027, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, where residents work alongside local employers.

Sessions meet every Wednesday and Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. Enrollment is rolling. Register at SportsPowerInfrastructure.com/location/arkansas.

While this installment focuses on teens, Sports Power Infrastructure rates and ranks athletes in all divisions, including youth, adults, seniors, and athletes with developmental disabilities.
